Project: Stepping Hill Hospital Children’s Ward Refurbishment

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust appointed Truline to undertake the remodelling and refurbishment of multiple rooms within the Paediatrics Unit at Stepping Hill Hospital. The works included upgrades to the waiting area, physical measurement and interview rooms, new recovery bays and additional storage provisions.
Working within a live hospital environment required strict controls for dust, noise and access, ensuring surrounding hospital departments remained fully operational throughout the programme. Careful sequencing and coordination across multiple areas enabled the project to be delivered safely while maintaining access for staff, patients and visitors.

During the strip-out phase, hidden services and legacy build-ups were uncovered, requiring flexible sequencing of works. Fire stopping works were also completed out of hours to minimise disruption to hospital operations.
