St Elisabeth’s Primary School - Stockport County Council
OUR TASK
St Elisabeths needed to increase the teaching space for Key Stage 1 & 2 pupils along with a requirement for increased office space for their teaching and support staff. St Elisabeth’s utilised the conversion of the neighbouring grade II listed rectory building with a link corridor to join the two buildings together.
Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles (Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust) wanted to make better use of the café area at Haigh Hall which previously had offices above it. To make this more of a visitor attraction the Council commissioned a total refurbishment of the existing café and the creation of a Tea Room in the office space upstairs.
To take conceptual artists impression drawings and bring them to reality, creating a much needed “oasis” in a production area of a grade 2 listed 19th century mill.
Construction of a modern, inviting front extension. Creating a new café area to an existing charity and scooter hire shop with a full internal refurbishment of the original premises.
